I’m in search of a smallish dog (10-20lbs) My father is a Vietnam vet who is disabled and retired and suffering from loneliness, his past companion passed away after 17 years. He’s been scammed looking for a new best friend for life. We are willing to pay a small rehoming fee (please remember he’s on a fixed income). Would prefer a younger female 1-4 years old so they can adapt and grow with him and his needs. One that’s laid back and not high energy. Preferably can deal with small kids as he does have grand children visit. Would prefer they are potty trained and off leash trained. About my father: He’s retired, doesn’t drive and has heaps and mounds of time to spend and give love to his new best friend. He enjoys lap dogs and conversing with his dogs. He spoils them rotten by feeding them eggs to help their coat and fresh food that’s been approved by the vet. He’s a frequent flyer at the vet to ensure the best for his little buddy by making trips once a month. His last dog I found for him was a Pomeranian named Snow. He was 11 when he got him and he kept him for 6 additional years before they discovered he had a benign tumor in his throat and my father - as devastated as he was had no option but to put him down and end his suffering. Please help me in finding the perfect little dog to keep my dad happy and busy.
