All are invited to the Procession and Mass to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego on Sunday, December 5 All are invited to the Procession and Mass to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego on Sunday, December 5. Themed “Our Lady of Guadalupe: Always forward in mission and hope,” the procession and Mass commemorate the 490th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe during this special “Forward in Mission” Jubilee Year celebrating the founding of the Archdiocese. The procession begins at 10:30am at Our Lady of Solitude Parish in East Los Angeles, 4561 East Cesar Chavez Ave., Los Angeles 90022, followed by the Mass at 1:00pm celebrated by Archbishop José H. Gomez at the East L.A. College Stadium, 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park 91754. Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be limited attendance at the stadium. The Guadalupe Procession is the oldest religious procession in Los Angeles. It is an opportunity for our community of faith to come together to honor our Blessed Mother and celebrate her message of unity, hope and love, which still resonates today.
