The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring for the following for a long-term position in Chattanooga, TN area: MATERIAL HANDLER / FORKLIFT OPERATOR $200.00 SIGN ON BONUS!! Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following duties: • Use supersack station to fill large supersacks with flake • Use computer system to generate labels and accurately label product as required • Comprehend and interface with our computer system to control the flow of flake from silo to either supersack station or bulk container loading system • Load and unload trailers with supersacks without damage to product or equipment • Can change forklift batteries as needed • Be able to move 53’ and sea containers safely on site without incidents • Can safely prepare sea containers with liners for filling with flake • Read and comprehend standard practices for job specific tasks • Housekeeping the silo pads and loading areas Material Handler 12 Hour Shifts Requirements • 12 hour rotating shift with 7 days off in a row, once a month. • Safely work in a team environment • Must be able to push, pull, tug up to 50 pounds • Must be able to climb stairs and equipment safely • Work in hot and cold environments • Be flexible to work many job requests during the shift • Work overtime as needed to fill vacancies • Obtain forklift certification and demonstrate safe and efficient use of forklifts • Obtain safe yard spotter driving certification and demonstrate the use of the equipment • Wear all appropriate PPE as required • Have steel toed shoes on at all times • Comply with all general site rules Applicants must also possess the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and other requirements for site entry.
