Good Wednesday morning Connecticut, A very cold day with sunshine and temperatures only reaching the low 40s. Thankfully, Thanksgiving Day will feel much warmer with sunshine and temperatures reaching into the low 50s. Rain showers are forecast for Friday with temperatures into the mid 40s. Saturday and Sunday are dry but very cold with high temperatures only around 40 degrees. WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons said on social media that Connecticut could see some snow late Sunday and Monday morning. No one at Amazon or in town government will confirm the news, but Heart quotes the head of a local association as saying it's the "worst kept secret" in town. The application remains pending. An Amazon Fresh store is also believed to be opening at the Candlewood Plaza Shopping Center in Brookfield, possibly as soon as December. Again, no one will confirm this news. (Read More at Hearst CT). What is an Amazon Fresh? According to Amazon's website, Amazon Fresh is a "new grocery store" that offers a unique experience whether you're shopping inside or online. "Customers will find a wide assortment of national brands and high-quality produce, meat, and seafood; plus our culinary team offers customers a range of delicious prepared foods made fresh in store, every day." New features include the "Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles." There are currently 21 Amazon Fresh grocery stores across the country, primarily in California, Illinois, Washington, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C, Maryland, and Virginia.
