Reprecincting Update The Select Board voted on November 22, 2021 to adopt the Recommended Map. They will vote a final time on Monday, November 29, 2021 to approve the census tables and legal descriptions prepared by the Secretary of State. The entire package will be submitted to the Local Election Review District Commission and, if approved, will go into effect January 1, 2022.
More information will be posted on the Town Clerk's page and the Elections page of this website over the next several weeks. Here are the answers to a few questions residents have been asking:
How do I learn my new precinct? The Elections Division of the Secretary of State's Office and the Town Clerk will update the voter registration database prior to sending the Town Census sometime in January. The Town Census will identify every household's precinct number. The Town Clerk will send postcards in February that will confirm precinct number and polling location and provide instructions for voting in the Town Election, April 2, 2022.
What is my polling location? The Select Board may review the polling locations at any time and make adjustments based on new precinct lines or construction in town or school buildings. The Town Clerk will send a postcard in February confirming polling locations prior to the town election.
You can review the Proposed Precinct Map which identifies current and possible polling locations.
