ANNAPOLIS, MD — Officers said shots were fired four times in Annapolis during the past week. Authorities did not find any victims or suspects. The first incident happened last Thursday around 11:21 p.m. in the 1100 block of Madison Street. The Annapolis Police Department found a door shot out and shell casings in the street. The second round came Sunday at 3:35 a.m. in the Harbour House neighborhood. Officers couldn't find the crime scene at first, but they spotted spent casings around 7:41 a.m. in the intersection of President Street and Monroe Street. Authorities heard the next shots just before 5 a.m. Sunday while they were still in Harbour House and Eastport Terrace. Police initially couldn't determine the location where the bullets were fired, but a resident from the 1100 block of Van Buren Street reported at 1:14 p.m. that they heard several shots fired in the middle of the night. The Annapolitan later found his bathroom window broken, and officers located a bullet inside. The most recent case came Tuesday around 2:20 a.m. Authorities heard word of shots fired in the 700 block of Newtowne Drive, and they found evidence on the scene.
