Press release from the City of Millbrae: 11/23/2021 9:11 PM Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Millbrae City Council presented a proclamation proclaiming November 11, 2021, as Veterans Day. The City Council presented a proclamation proclaiming the week of November 14-20, 2021, as United Against Hate Week. The City Council approved, on a vote of 5-0, items 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 on the consent calendar. Item 5 – Approval of parking lot and street closures, as well as a staffing cost fee waiver for the Lunar New Year Festival on February 5, 2022. Item 6 – Waive the second reading and adoption of ordinance of the City of Millbrae, adding Chapter 6.45 Regulating Mandatory Organic Waste Disposal Reduction and Section 2.20.150 to Chapter 2.20 Purchasing System Regarding Procurement of Recovered Organic Waste Products, and Amending Section 1.05.020 of Chapter 1.05 Regarding Penalty Provisions, to the Municipal Code to Comply with Senate Bill (SB)1383, California's Short-Lived Climate Pollutants Reduction Act (2016).
