Press release from the City of Millbrae: 11/23/2021 9:11 PM Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Millbrae City Council presented a proclamation proclaiming November 11, 2021, as Veterans Day. The City Council presented a proclamation proclaiming the week of November 14-20, 2021, as United Against Hate Week. The City Council approved, on a vote of 5-0, items 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 on the consent calendar. Item 5 – Approval of parking lot and street closures, as well as a staffing cost fee waiver for the Lunar New Year Festival on February 5, 2022. Item 6 – Waive the second reading and adoption of ordinance of the City of Millbrae, adding Chapter 6.45 Regulating Mandatory Organic Waste Disposal Reduction and Section 2.20.150 to Chapter 2.20 Purchasing System Regarding Procurement of Recovered Organic Waste Products, and Amending Section 1.05.020 of Chapter 1.05 Regarding Penalty Provisions, to the Municipal Code to Comply with Senate Bill (SB)1383, California's Short-Lived Climate Pollutants Reduction Act (2016). Item 7 – Consideration of a resolution accepting the Annual Report on the Receipt and Use of Development Impact Fees for the Year Ending June 30, 2021. Item 8 – Adopt a resolution authorizing the Interim Public Works Director to Sign a Transportation Funds for Clean Air Grant Agreement for the Citywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Detection Project (22SM03). Item 9 – Resolution of local support authorizing the filing of an application for regional discretionary funding assigned to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, committing any necessary matching funds, and stating assurance to complete the Millbrae Transit Center Mobility Hub Pilot Project.
