Press release from the University of Missouri-St. Louis: November 15, 2021 Marvin Berkowitz, Sanford N. McDonnell Endowed Professor in Character Education and co-director of the Center for Character and Citizenship at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, opens his arms to the graduates of the Character Education focused Emerging Leaders Academy. Despite the difficulties presented by remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program graduated a 20-person cohort during a ceremony at Glen Echo Country Club on Nov. 3. The professional development program for St. Louis area assistant principals is an initiative of the Leadership Academy in Character Education program created by the Center for Character and Citizenship, which is housed in the UMSL College of Education. Through the workshops, participants gain knowledge, skills and resources needed to realize character education programs in their schools. This photograph was taken by UMSL photographer August Jennewein and is the latest to be featured in Eye on UMSL. Short URL: https://blogs.umsl.edu/news/?p...
