NORTHBROOK, IL — Northbrook-based trade and development company UL marked Veterans Day by dedicating a plaque to its employees who have served in the military. In a ceremony on Nov. 11, UL officials unveiled the plaque, which was implemented through its Military Business Resource Group (MBRG). The goal of the MBRG is to help veterans and their families by creating networking opportunities and supporting veteran causes, officials said. "As part of UL's commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable and diverse workplace, the company supports the MBRG in honoring military veterans and their families," officials said. "The MBRG hopes the plaque will be a permanent reminder of the support the group and UL wish to provide to military members, veterans and their families worldwide." The ceremony was attended by Jennifer Scanlon, president and CEO of UL; Retired Lt. General Charles Hooper, a member of UL's Board of Directors; and other UL veterans, officials said.
