OREGON CITY, OR — It seemed like a reasonable request. A woman from Happy Valley was stopped by officers from Gladstone on Monday night. The officers realized that the woman had an active warrant out Texas on theft charges.
The woman, Yvette Garcia, asked her arresting officers if she could quickly stop at her to check on her dogs before they jailed her.
They said ok and drove her home.

Hill and Garcia were both hospitalized. Garcia is in serious condition. Hill is stable and expected to be fine.
Yau wasn't injured.
Officials have not said if Garcia really has dogs.
