WHITE PLAINS, NY — If you are looking for ways to help make a difference, especially during the holiday season, Meals on Wheels of White Plains is seeking volunteers. According to a spokesman for the organization, a number of its senior volunteers have left, creating something of a crisis. Meals on Wheels of White Plains serves residents who are unable to shop and cook for themselves. The organization brings fresh hot and cold meals for each of five or six days to 70 or 80 clients in White Plains. Volunteers meet at White Plains High School at 11 a.m., pick up the meals and do one of six routes covering all parts of the city.
