CARTERSVILLE, GA — Thanksgiving may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Cartersville for the holiday. While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 26 (Black Friday). City of Cartersville: Offices are closed on Thursday and Friday. More information can be found on the Bartow County website.Bartow County Schools and Cartersville City Schools are both off Nov. 22-26.Libraries: All Bartow County libraries are closed Thursday and Friday.Trash and recycling pickup: Thursday and Friday trash pick-up by the City of Cartersville will be postponed until Monday, Nov. 29.
