Description

Winter Nature “Walk-and-Shoot” at Teatown Lake Reservation and Thompson Cider Mill hard cider tasting! For our next “Walk-and-Shoot” led by professional photographer Doug Schneider, we’re going to enjoy a winter nature walk at Teatown Lake Reservation. After our walk, we’ll visit Thompson's Cider Mill for a hard cider tasting! We’ll start at Teatown for a 1.5 mile walk on an easy trail. As we enjoy our walk, Doug will share tips on capturing great iPhone photos no matter what the weather. Doug will also show us how to take great not-too-posed people shots in this natural setting, with inspiration from his newly published book, “Families for Humanity.” After our walk, we move to Thompson's Cider Mill (which is basically next door to Teatown). We’ll taste their small-batch hard ciders, while we hear a bit about the cider-making process. ------------------- More about Doug: More about Doug Schneider: Doug is best known for his food and drink photography, but he is equally passionate about hiking and getting outdoors as he is about photography. His work has been featured in publications such as Westchester Magazine, Oprah Magazine; and has shot for organizations such as Atlantis Bahamas, Breville, and Circle Line. Masks and social distancing are required. All attendees must arrange their own transportation, as we are unfortunately not able to provide transportation due to the ongoing pandemic. Space is limited to 8 people. Must be 21+ for cider tasting. Ages 10+ are welcome, accompanied by adult over 21. Tours are rain, snow, or shine. In the case of severe weather, the event will move to the next day or the following weekend. Tickets are non-refundable. (Note: Parking fee at Teatown is $5, not included in ticket price.)
