Our family is looking for a very (physically) strong individual who can help on a full-time basis with transfers from: - wheelchair to and from bed - wheelchair to and from toilet - from manual wheelchair to motorized wheelchair. Must be able to shift the total weight of 170 pounds from one surface to another. We already have a weekly home health aid who comes to do some light housework and various chores but they are (both physically and contractually) unable to do the physical lifting required throughout the day. There will be a private dedicated room upstairs for the helper to conduct their own pastime activities; reading, studying, watching TV (we have cable and streaming subscriptions) while on call for transfers during mutually determined hours. For the right individuals, a live-in situation can be arranged with rent and utilities paid for to supplement wage. Pay and hours are negotiable with the aim to hit 40 daytime hours per week.
