Up for discussion: Cedar is a coming two year old cattle dog mix. About 40 pounds and athletic. Would be a great livestock dog with some training. She tries to herd the goats, and has helped me get them back into their pen. Has never killed one of my chickens or ducks, but will chase them occasionally. Shes also good with cats. Generally stays close to home. Kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience she loves fetch and has been introduced to antlers. Would be a great shed dog prospect! She loves hiking and could go all day in the woods. She’s loves to snuggle and is really friendly with our kids. But would need time to warm up to new ones. The issues: Is very shy around men and strangers. Can and does jump a 6 foot fence if she gets bored, or if I’m down with the goats and she wants to come. I’m worried about her getting out and getting hurt. Also due to some family circumstances and life changes, I’ve found myself unable to invest time into her training and it’s not fair to her. Just hoping to find her a nice home with lots of room to run and a job. She has a lot of energy!
