Parks Services, a well-established, full-service grounds maintenance company is currently looking to add qualified candidates to our growing team We are a large and growing commercial (and residential) outdoor maintenance company servicing the tri-county area (and beyond). We are looking for all members of our snow crews (keep in mind we are a full service landscaping and grounds maintenance company working year round so this does not have to be a seasonal position!!). Positions are responsible for the snow removal and de-icing of our commercial, industrial and municipal sites in the tri-county area. This job requires 24/7 on call availability from mid-Nov to mid-April approx. The ideal candidate will be understand that they are on-call, and will be utilized during snow and ice events throughout the season, shift hours will range depending on severity of event but long hours can be expected as well as night and early morning hrs, We are accepting independent contractors as well as employees who are willing to follow assigned routes, meet deadlines, meet budgetary goals, and follow the instruction of the management team. Candidate must be proactive, possess COMMON SENSE as in check the weather and be prepared. All candidates are expected to be able to work long shifts if needed, having a WORKING CELL PHONE turned on without skips in service, and be "on call" for the entire winter. Must be detail oriented, understand the demands of our customers and be able to meet/exceed their expectations in a safe, timely manner. Must have reliable transportation to and from work and keep in mind that this is on-call, no set schedule in the winter- we work when there are snow and ice events. *Sidewalk Crew: Must be able to handle cold weather outdoor conditions, own winter and waterproof gear to keep themselves warm (boots, gloves, jacket, hat). Candidates should have one year of outdoor maintenance experience, but willing to train motivated individuals who are willing to learn. Must be available nights and early mornings. Drivers license is NOT required for this position; however, the candidate must have reliable, timely transportation to and from work. Pay depends on experience and qualifications. *Plow Truck Drivers : Must have a valid drivers license, have a couple of years of experience handling a snow plow preferred, be able to handle cold weather conditions. Must be available nights and early mornings. Pay depends on experience and qualifications. ****WE ARE ALSO IN NEED OF SALT TRUCK DRIVERS WHO CAN DRIVE AN 18-SPEED WITH A VALID CDL**** There is year round work here as we are a full service outdoor maintenance company with clients in the entire tri-state area and beyond.
