Maintenance Worker I –Parks Parks & Forestry Division Parks & Recreation Department Application deadline: Wednesday, December 8, 2021 Visit www.icgov.org/jobs to apply online One permanent full-time position available Full salary range: $42,848.00 – $55,140.80 Hours: Thursday – Monday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (weekends: 6:00am – 2:30pm), November-April Thursday – Monday, 11:00am – 7:30pm, April-November Job summary: Under general direction, performs a variety of tasks in the repair, maintenance, cleaning and monitoring of parks, trails, natural areas and other public facilities. Minimum qualifications: One year of experience in park maintenance operations required. Forklift and backhoe certification within probationary period. Valid Class B commercial driver’s license with airbrakes endorsement and satisfactory driving record required. Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with airbrakes endorsement required within 6 months of hire. This position is subject to federal drug testing requirements including screening through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. A pre-employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age per Iowa Code 92.8. Must pass background check. Preferred qualifications: Two years of experience in park maintenance preferred.
