Small dried fruit company seeks a manager to run production. We are looking for someone with experience managing a small team (6-8 people) and operating packaging equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organize and participate in the daily supply chain and warehouse operations and activities, including inbound supplies and inventory receipt, production and warehouse management and outbound shipping. • Manage production process and personnel • Manage order fulfillment process and personnel • Manage and improve operational practices • Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines • Track and forecast operational trends and analysis • Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams • Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations Knowledge and Abilities: ● Previous experience in food production or other related field ● Previous experience managing/operating food production equipment ● Strong project management, problem solving and critical thinking skills ● Strong leadership qualities ● Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures ● Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials ● Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment ● Space utilization and inventory techniques ● Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies ● Health and safety regulations ● Record-keeping techniques ● Inventory methods and practices ● Principles and practices of training and providing work direction ● Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy ● Train, supervise and evaluate personnel ● Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Salary: commensurate with experience
