Our client, a world-renowned cancer treatment and research center is seeking an Inventory & Store Clerk Aide. • This is 6 month temporary position with the possibility to convert to a perm job. • The work schedule is Monday – Friday, and every other weekend. • Shifts will vary: 7am – 3pm, 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm. • The facility requires everyone to be fully vaccinated prior to starting (PLEASE NOTE: THIS REQUIREMENT IS SUBJECT TO A REQUEST FOR A LEGALLY RECOGNIZED ACCOMMODATION) • The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Job Profile Summary Inspects and accepts incoming shipments of supplies for General Stores, stocks supplies in designated areas and distributes them according to requests throughout MSKCC. Receiving Time: 30% Receives deliveries of all supplies for General Stores. Performance Expectations: · Monitors and controls the flow of deliveries received from Primary Med/Surg Supplier and Receiving. Provides appropriate equipment for the unloading of parcels (e.g. pallets, flatbed trucks, etc.) received from Suppliers and Receiving. · Checks supplies received against the packing slips and the Receiving log book for quantities and specifications by conducting a physical inspection and a physical count of parcels delivered. Communicates any discrepancies (i.e. shortages damaged merchandise) to supervisor/manager so appropriate actions can be taken. · Signs packing slip or Receiving log book if physical counts and the packing slip or Receiving log book quantities vary; records any variances by adjusting quantities on the packing slip or Receiving log book. · Prioritizes emergency incoming shipments for replenishment of General Stores inventory according to delivery type (i.e. overnight deliveries) by placing parcels in designated areas for immediate distribution to requisitioners. Inventory Maintenance Time: 50% Stocks supplies in designated storage areas, monitors stock levels and picks supplies for distribution. Performance Expectations: · Restocks all storage areas with incoming supplies by placing merchandise received in the designated shelves. · Checks expiration date of merchandise and places merchandise in order of expiration date when applicable with the merchandise with the earliest expiration date in front of the shelf. Alerts supervisor/manager of any expired merchandise and discards them. · Obtains pick lists from materials management coordinator. Picks requested quantities of supplies as identified in the pick lists. · Records quantities provided in the fill column of the pick list. If a requested item is not in stock, writes an “x” in the corresponding row of the fill column. · Alerts a materials management coordinator when count for an item is below the designated minimum inventory level for the item as indicated on the stock status report. · Assembles supplies on carts according to designated delivery locations. · Makes 2 copies of the pick list after the order is filled and attaches the copies to the merchandise. Writes delivery location (i.e. room number) with a marker on pick list copies to assist delivery staff in identifying delivery locations. · Provides the materials management coordinator with the original copy of the pick list with the fill column completed. Delivery Time: 20% Delivers supplies to requisitioner Performance Expectations: · Stacks on appropriate delivery trucks. · Delivers merchandise to requisitioner and requests signature for merchandise delivered. Provides requisitioner with a copy of the pick list for their record. · Uses designated delivery routes as outlined by supervisor. · Stays in the presence of all deliveries until they are received by requisitioner. · Uses designated transportation equipment (ie. compartmentalized carts, rubber buckets) for the delivery of gases and chemicals to ensure the safe transportation of hazardous merchandise. You Need: High School Diploma or GED 1 year of shipping/receiving experience
