Burgeoning Long Island Booking Agency Bringing Top Tributes to Bellmore (Bellmore, Long Island, NY) -- It was announced today, that beginning on December 16th at 8pm, heralded Long Island based booking and promotion company G&R Events, in association with All Music Inc in Plainview and Rick Eberle Agency in Ronkonkoma, will be presenting a new series: “Showcase at the Showplace” starting with “All Revved Up (Meatloaf Tribute)” at the historic Bellmore Movies and Showplace, located at 222 Pettit Ave in Bellmore, NY. G&R Events began in 2017 booking and promoting the yearly summer concert series for New York State Parks at Jones Beach Bandshell in Wantagh. This past summer, they were also responsible for booking and promoting a special weekly concert series with Nassau County at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, with both series regularly attended by several thousand music lovers. In this time, they have also produced events for Simon Malls, Long Beach International Film Festival, The Space Theater at Westbury and others. In addition to the new “Showcase at the Showplace” Series, G&R events is also currently promoting the “Loading Dock Series” at Patchogue Theatre in Patchogue, and has become a full service national booking agency with artists such as Streetfighter (The Rolling Stones Tribute), The Liverpool Shuffle (The Beatles Tribute), Awaken (YES Tribute), The Janis Joplin Experience, Strange Magic NY (ELO Tribute), Misty Mountain (Led Zeppelin Tribute), OneGunn (Bob Marley/Prince Tribute), Who’s Next (The Who Tribute) on the roster, with more new band, show and venue announcements coming in the near future! Traditionally movies back then were booked with a quick live act prior to the film which was the case for The Bellmore Movies. Theaters in surrounding towns have come and gone but our little single screen cinema survives! We can brag we have survived 2 Pandemics! The Spanish Flu of 1918 and now Covid 19. Today the Bellmore Movies & The Showplace finds itself offering Mainstream Films, Independent Films and Live Shows ranging from Plays, to Comedy acts to Recitals, film festivals and almost anything else you can think of. The Bellmore Movies remains the last single screen in Nassau County as an ongoing business. The Stampfel Family took over operations of the cinema in March 1986 and look forward to continuing for the next 100 Years!
