Please join us for what will be a spectacular event celebrating Chairman Fred Hampton Sr. and raising funds for savethehamptonhouse.org ON THE EVE OF INTERNATIONAL REVOLUTIONARY DAY (DEC. 4TH), THE COMMEMORATION OF THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE ASSASSINATION OF CHAIRMAN FRED HAMPTON OF THE BLACK PANTHER PARTY, ARTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY WILL COME TOGETHER FOR THE “ARTISTS FOR THE HAMPTON HOUSE SILENT AUCTION & FUNDRAISER” TO RAISE FUNDS FOR www.savethehamponhouse.org Event: Artists for the Hampton House Silent Auction & Fundraiser Date: Friday, December 3rd, 2021; 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Location: Kehrein Center of the Arts; 5628 West Washington Blvd., Chicago On Friday evening December 3rd from 6p-9p, the night prior to IRD, (International Revolutionary Day) artists from all over the country will join in their support of Save The Hampton House by contributing original pieces of artwork to be included in a silent auction with all proceeds going to the www.savethehamptonhouse.org efforts. Please join event Chair's, Chairman Fred Hampton Jr, Comrade Mother Akua Njeri, confirmed Honorary Hosts, IL Speaker of the House Emanuel Chris Welch, Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson, Maywood Mayor Nathaniel Booker, Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson, Maywood Trustee Miguel Jones, Berwyn Alderman Rob Pabon, Berwyn Alderman Joe Carmichael, community leaders and the people all in support of Save The Hampton House. Bid on incredible works of art from featured artists including original Black Panther Party artists Emory Douglas and Asali Dickson and renowned artist Frank Frazier while your Dine | Delight | Discover on delicacies from local eateries and breweries. Learn about how you can get involved to help the Hampton House gain National Register of Historic Places status as well as to bring a museum and community resource center to the space to showcase and teach people from all over the world about Chairman Fred Hampton and the Black Panther Party. About Save the Hampton House: Save The Hampton House is an effort led by Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. and the Widow of Chairman Fred Hampton Sr., Akua Njeri formally known as Deborah Johnson and by those working relentlessly to protect the legacy of the Black Panther Party and Chairman Fred Hampton. The childhood home of Fred Hampton is in Maywood Illinois and work is in progress to preserve the property and transform it into a community resource center to showcase and teach people from all over the world about Chairman Fred Hampton, the Black Panther Party and what he and the party means to Maywood, Chicago and all oppressed communities. Chairman Fred Hampton, leader of the Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party was a revolutionary, an organizer and role model for Chicago, the Black community, and the ongoing international movement for the liberation of oppressed people.
