You may call to be put on the waitlist at 985-873-5058.* Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is hosting free cardiovascular screenings on Wednesday, December 23rd & 30th from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 2730 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy in Lafayette, LA. Guests will receive a complimentary ankle brachial index (ABI) screenings, EKG screenings, Doppler Pulse screenings, and Thermal Imaging screenings. An ABI simple, painless exam is used to test the blood flow in the legs to determine risk of vascular disease. An EKG is a painless test that records the electrical signals of the heart. Results will be reviewed on site by CIS interventional cardiologist, Dr. Amit Amin. Risk factors of vascular disease include family history, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, as well as smoking, being overweight or being inactive. Space is limited.
