Description
Baby and Rico are a 9 year old bonded brother/sister pair that cannot be split up. I’ve had them their whole lives except Rico I got as a year old from his first home who he started attacking. Both of them will bite but I know how to work with them and can tolerate the bites so this is also a must with their new home. I never thought I’d do this but due to working so much and the fact that they can only be out when I’m home alone has had them stuck in their cage almost all the time. I’d love to find an experienced home that can handle their noise and biting. They are on a diet of BirdTricks organic pellets, BirdTricks fresh/frozen chop mix, and seed/nuts as extras. They will come with their cage and lifetime help and advice from myself. Even though they bite they’re still very bonded to me and I love them very much, so I will not just rehome them to anyone. I will want to do a home inspection, see proof of you having their diet on hand, and will need to have you come over to interact with them so I know you can handle them. Rehoming fee is $400 but negotiable if I can feel in my heart that you’re a perfect fit. They are not at all safe for children to handle or be around. They have had their wings and used to live in a large outdoor aviary so wing clipping is absolutely not an option. I am passionately against wing clipping period. Once they bind to you they love hiding in your shirt (or Rico up your pant leg), and they’re usually not shy and will fly to explore other people, but when I leave the room or get too far away they fly right back to me, which is why they can not be around kids- they will land on them and potentially bite. I’ve done different training with them using bird tricks training methods and they’re very receptive, it’s just been a long time since I worked with them on training. Shoot me a message if you’d like to talk and have questions or if you’d like to come meet them! I’m also passionately against breeding, so if this is your intent, I will see it and will not rehome them with you.
