Our vision for this event is intended for outreach and educating the public about native and edible plants. 1pm: Event start 1:15pm: Welcome announcement 1:30-2pm: George Bonnema, gardening expert-Vegetable Gardening 2:15-2:45pm: Gary Wyatt, University of MN Extension Agroforestry Educator-Edible Perennials 3-3:30pm: South Dakota State University Native Plant Initiative-Native Plantscaping 3:30-4:00pm: Local projects showcase 4-5pm: Social hour The event will also host various vendor tables with locally produced goods and educational materials. This will be a catered event with a beautiful spread of locally produced appetizers and live music included in the ticket price. Specialty craft infused beers and herbal teas will be available for purchase. All proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of drink sales will go toward Project Food Forest's outreach and education efforts throughout the region.
