Phi Chi Theta is hosting an event called Michigan Business Forum with Telva McGruder, Chief DEI Officer at General Motors.
The event will take place Friday, December 3rd in the Tauber Colloquium located on the top floor of the Steven M. Ross School of Business.
Our speaker, Telva McGruder, is the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inlusion Officer at General Motors, an American multinational automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. The format of the event will be a casual fireside chat, with plenty of time for questions from the audience. Telva will discuss her incredible career path from starting as an engineer, making the jump to business then sustainability, and now leading General Motors in cultivating a more inclusive and productive workplace through both the Black Lives Matter Movement and the Coronavirus pandemic, all while navigating this space as a black woman in business.
