Open Books Pilsen Present FREE BOOK FRIDAY! Instead of Black Friday, we're giving away the whole store for free for one day only. On Friday, November 26th from 11 am to 5 pm, everything at the Open Books Pilsen store, 905 W. 19th Street, will be free to everyone. Providing quality books to people of all ages at little to no cost is an enormous part of our mission. All children's books are always free at the Pilsen store, and we will be lifting the "Pay What You Want" policy for all other inventory for Black Friday. We will not be accepting any direct payment for the sale of books on that day. All that we ask is that patrons limit themselves to 100 books or less and make sure to checkout at the register before leaving so that we can track our impact. We recently received a very large book donation of recently published books--all unread and in perfect condition--from a large publisher that we'll be rolling out for that day and that day only!
