After volunteering with a feeding program in the community, Mrs. Buntrock realized there was a need in Broward County for an organization that could cater to the unique needs of the food insecure elderly, and grandparents who have become the primary caregivers of their grandchildren due to unfortunate circumstances. She envisioned and formed an organization that would focus on providing food and support services to seniors living on low, fixed income, and grandparents struggling to raise their grandchildren, but who are doing so to keep them in loving homes and out of the overburdened foster care system. About Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery, which opened in June 2020, is the first Food Hall concept to launch in the hip, arts district in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
