A judge ruled on Monday that the deal forged by the state and the Seminole tribe violates federal law. The planned 30-year gambling compact gave the Seminoles control over sports betting in the state and allowed Vegas-style games at the Hard Rock casinos. The state believes the ruling will be appealed. (WSVN) 2. The world's wealthiest dog is selling his Miami waterfront estate, previously owned by pop sensation Madonna, for $31.75 million. The dog comes from a lineage of rich pups who inherited a multimillion-dollar trust from a German countess who died in 1992 and left her fortune to her dog and has been passed for generations. The story is part of a publicity stunt by an Italian businessmen, according to Forbes. (Miami Patch) 3. Brightline has completed 70% of the work on the route from Miami to Orlando. The $2.7 billion project is on schedule for completion in late 2022. Brightline also believes the $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed by President Joe Biden will help support a track to Tampa and build South Florida's network. (The Next Miami) 4. Police are investigating a shooting in northeast Miami that left a luxury car with dozens of bullet holes and a driver hospitalized early Tuesday. The driver was described by police as a man in his mid-to-late 20's and was taken to Ryder Trauma Center with gunshot wounds. Police have not release any information on the shooter involved. (NBC Miami) 5. Dollar Tree said Tuesday it will raise prices from $1 to $1.25 on the majority of its products by the first quarter of 2022.
