No Reservations: Emotion or Action?: Cultural Differences in Parental Socialization of the Moral Brain by Professors Jason Cowell and Sawa Senzaki streamed live Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Almost as fast as the snap of our fingers (200 ms), our brains can tell right from wrong. This is a complex product of our upbringing, culture, and evolution. We will discuss our ongoing international research collaboration exploring how culture and parenting mold children's moral brains. Cowell is an associate professor and a vice-chair of Psychology. He is also a director of the Neuroscience Lab at UW-Green Bay. Senzaki is an associate professor. She is also a director of Child's Lab at UW-Green Bay. They co-direct the NIH-sponsored Culture and Brain Development project. Watch the recording of this event.
