Press release from the City of Long Beach Parks and Recreation Department: November 22, 2021 The Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation held its annual City Council 10K race and 1 mile fun run this past week with over 300 runners competing. It was a beautiful Fall day for a race. In the 10K race, Oscar Lorenzo of Amityville was the male overall winner with a time of 34:34, and Cristin Delaney-Guille of Long Beach was the female overall winner with a time of 39:40. The first Male Long Beach finisher was Robert Grote with a time of 36:11, and the first Female finisher from Long Beach was also Cristin Delaney-Guille with a time of 39:40. In the 1 Mile race, Grayson Schroeder of Long Beach was the male overall winner with a time of 6:08, and Bianca Esposito of Long Beach was the female overall winner with a time of 7:43. The Long Beach Recreation Department would also like to thank the Long Beach Police Department along with the Auxiliary Police for providing the runners a safe course to run on along and the Long Beach Fire Department for providing emergency crews on standby.
