Position Title: Assembly - 1st Shift Wage: $16/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri Let us assemble your next career. We’re hiring for an Assembler on 1st shift. Temp to hire. Apply today Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Create, utilize, and improve standard work combination sheets to document assembly processes - Participate in the 5 why process to ensure real time problem solving, and drive continuous improvement - Implement visual controls throughout work area to provide ease of cross training and reduce cycle time - Participate in daily red dot/green dot tracking and provide feedback in business awareness matrix - Read, interpret, and follow bill of material to pull parts for assembly and submit any corrections - Read and interpret blueprints, utilize measurement tools, and correctly interpret readings - Assemble units of various sizes and models using controlled documents and standard work operations - Cross train in other areas as needed, and help to identify problems as they arise - Demonstrate excellence in completion of all duties Requirements: - High school diploma /GED - Pass certifications for powered industrial vehicle license - Manufacturing/warehouse experience and CNC machine experience a plus - Lift up to 50lbs regularly - Stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 10 hours per day - Work well with others - Read and interpret blueprints, bill of materials, and engineering controlled documents - Identify and solve problems - Accurately read and interpret precision measurement tools such as micrometers, depth gauges, etc. Benefits: Available once hired QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with nearly 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
