PRINCETON, NJ - Princeton's Cannabis Task Force (CTF) was expected to present its recommendations and report to the council and public on Nov. 30. But that plan has now hit "a little snag." During Monday's Council meeting, CTF chair Eve Niedergang said the Task Force is hoping to overcome the snag. "We have now hit a little snag that I'm hoping we can overcome," Niedergang said. The Nov. 30 date is now "tentative," and if the Task Force does manage to overcome the "snag," then the entire report will be posted on the Municipal website on Wednesday, Nov. 24. In August, Princeton decided to temporarily opt-out of permitting marijuana businesses to operate in town, with an aim to present an opt-in ordinance at a later date. The new report and recommendations are expected to zero in on potential dispensary sites with a focus on racial justice and social equity.
