Morris County averaged 103.6 infections per day in the past week, according to the New Jersey Department of Health. That's more than double the amount of daily new cases this week a month ago, when the county averaged 46.8. Here are the local case numbers: Morristown saw 26 new cases from Nov. 15 to Tuesday, bringing the town to 2,480 infections since the pandemic began. That's an increase of 1.06 percent to Morristown's case total in eight days.Officials reported 38 new Morris Township cases in that span, bringing the township to 1,879 cases since the pandemic began. The case total increased by 2.06 percent since Nov. 15.Morris Plains's case total went from 655 to 669 for a 2.14 percent increase in eight days.
