PENN HILLS, PA — A 5-year-old boy was fatally shot by a 6-year-old sibling Monday, becoming the second child to be accidentally killed by a firearm that day in Allegheny County. County police were called to a home in the 100 block of Prescott Drive around 5:33 p.m. The boy was taken to an area hospital where he died at 6:33 p.m. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identified the boy as Connor Wolfe. County police said their preliminary investigation indicates that the shooter, victim and another child were left unsupervised in a bedroom where an unsecured firearm was located. It's unclear if any charges will be filed in connection to the incident. On Monday morning, Ajani Lane, 4, was found shot in a home in the 500 block of North Negley Avenue in East Liberty. Paramedics took the boy to Children's Hospital, where he died a short time later. Police said the boy accidentally shot himself in the face. A caregiver was in the home at the time.
