Job description Full-Time/Part-time Position: Hourly rate is flexible based on skills and experience, no experience required willing to train the right candidate. ABOUT US: Renewed Decor is a small, handcrafted business run by two guys who have a friendship that goes all the way back to 9th grade. Through high school, college and beyond, our friendship has grown to the point where our families, wives and children are as close as we are. Both of us have a love of working with our hands, making our homes beautiful, inside, and out. We have taken that love of handcrafting and are now sharing it with the world with our line of hand-built items. Our works have been featured in Main Line Parent Magazine. Our products have been purchased from homeowners and businesses from Maine to Alaska, and USA to Great Britain to New Zealand and anywhere in between. Primary Duties Paint, Stain & Seal Mix paints and stains to obtain desired colors or shades. Mix ingredients to create specific finishes. Brush, spray, or hand-rub finishing ingredients, such as paint, oil, stain, or wax, onto and into wood grain and apply lacquer or other sealers. Apply protective or decorative finishes to workpieces or products. Prepare Material: Smooth, shape, and touch up surfaces to prepare them for finishing, using sandpaper, Palm Sander, Belt Sander, steel wool, chisels, or grinders. Select and examine materials to ensure they meet requirements for production. Fill and smooth cracks or depressions, remove marks and imperfections, and repair broken parts, using various methods including wood putty, glue, nails, or screws. Fill cracks, imperfections, or holes in products or workpieces. Other Duties May Include: Assembly & Production: Follow instructions both written and verbal to produce specific designs Read orders to determine product specifications, materials, and paint finishes. Distress surfaces with tools or by hand to create an antique appearance or rub surfaces to bring out highlights and shadings. Clean workpieces or finished products. Assist in finial assembly which may include but it not limited to, installing hooks and hangers. Other Tasks: Verify, inspect and package completed products General maintenance including sweeping, trash removal and cleaning equipment.
