Press release from Birmingham Public Library: Roy L. Williams November 22, 2021 Five years ago, Judy Dick, a Librarian Assistant III at Springville Road Library, began teaching teens and women how to sew simple fun things.  This fun group gathered sewing machines and thread from friends, patrons, and family. The sewing class has sewn over 50 cute masks for Positive Maturity and other needy folks. They've also made mouse door stops, purses, skirts, blouses, dresses, soup cozies, and much more! Plans are for Quilting to begin again in January 2022 at Springville Road Library. Mrs. Shirley can hardly wait!!  This press release was produced by Birmingham Public Library.
