In November, we celebrate the commitment and courage of adoptive parents and the resilience and strength of adopted children. On November 20th in the courtrooms of the Commonwealth many adoptions were formalized. The judges who preside over these proceedings say that it's their favorite day in court. Let's celebrate with them and carry this celebration throughout the year. The books below cover many of the issues facing adoptive parents, adopted children, birth parents and social workers: the search for birth parents and siblings; the realities of open adoption and transracial adoption; the adventures of becoming a family – you can gain a better understanding of multi-faceted aspects of adoption by checking out these books. Most are available in hardcover, audiobook and ebook formats.
