Meet Honey! 🍯 She is a 1 year old chihuahua/pug mix (maybe some italian greyhound in there too) who is looking for a new home. She is an intact female who has been with us for about 3 months. I unexpectedly took her in after her previous family was being removed from their home (they were planning on being homeless) and were unable to keep any of their animals. Before her previous family, she was a stray. She loves my other dog and does amazing with cats. She loves to snuggle under the blankets on the couch, play with her favorite toys or chase the birds outside. If you have kids, it will take a few days for her to warm up to them but she would do great with kids. She has never bitten anyone or shown any signs of aggression and is overall a really amazing dog. When we got her, she was not housetrained and didn’t know how to sit. She now knows how to sit and when told to “wait,” she will sit patiently by her bowl and wait for you to bring her food to her. She is crate trained and doesn’t cry or whine when you put her in there. We crate her at night and in about 5 hour increments while my husband and I are working or out running errands and have never had any issues. She is about 95% housetrained— she still has accidents here and there but very rarely. We live in a small apartment and she is just simply not an apartment dog. She gets very nervous/anxious around new sounds and new dogs, and she is very nervous when we take her outside because there are new dogs everywhere and people out and about constantly. She needs to live in a house with her own space to run around in! Please let me know if you are interested in her or know anyone who would be. I will give you as much information as possible and will answer any and all questions you may have so you will know exactly what to expect in bringing her home! She will come with everything I have for her including harness, crate, blankets (she prefers them over a bed), toys, etc. Please text me rather than email.
