POSITION OVERVIEW- Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager/ Snow Manager RESPONSIBILITIES Typical responsibilities are expected to include the following: Take a lead role in managing, planning and operating our commercial landscaping maintenance division. Responsible for leading, managing crews to achieve work goals, work objectives and adherence to values and company policies. You will be directly responsible for the success of a select group of landscape techs which includes aeration, spring cleans, pruning, and regular lawn maintenance, sprinkler management for all our commercial property portfolios. You will oversee the on-boarding, training, and payroll for employees and contractors as well as assist in bidding for maintenance contracts and enhancement projects. In the winter you will lead the operational planning and management for our snow removal division including in house labor and subcontractors. You will be directly responsible for snow removal for approximately 70 residential and commercial properties which includes pre-season, during, and post-snow season processes. Pre-Season · recruit and staff our snow crews. · Stage and Prep equipment and ensure needed repairs are made prior to the start of the season· Purchase ice slicer and ice melt needs. · Manage the logistics of mobilizing our equipment, and products to our snow removal accounts by October 15th. · Oversee the process of pre-season property documentation for property damage. Pre-Storm · work with team to install and check operation of vehicles, plows, atvs; · load ice melt and slicer. · Ensure snow crews have property maps and routes. Have contingency plans to cover routes in case of issues like breakdowns. · Hire and train new employees and subcontractors; (zone managers, shovel crews) · Have second shift plans for large storms. · During-Storm · Drive commercial routes early in storm to determine trigger depths and help set time. · Documentation of start, stop times from employees and subcontractors; · Collect Route Sheets and Photo Documentation from Field. Post-Storm · Inspect Properties and Coordinate with Site Managers to collect feedback. · Manage Freeze / Thaw and Quality Control Compensation based off experience. Call with any questions.
