I need a bmw specialist with a bmw scanner or programmer have an issue. Had the crank shaft replaced and the car now is running in limp mode. The car shop said it needs to be programmed and the timing is probably off. Car is a 2000 bmw 323ci Need someone familiar that knows how to do this. You will need the bmw tools and the bmw scanner. I found someone else had the same problem and this is what they said. "Dropped it off at the dealer this morning and they reprogrammed the DME and the problem is gone. I have not picked up the car yet but that's what they told me on the phone. They said that there was a bulletin stating that if the car is still in limp mode after a crankshaft sensor change the DME needs to be reprogrammed. " Also according to the post I read online link below, just resetting the ECU might fix it. Please email me first. Thank you.
