Please join us in celebrating Fritz Pollard 100th Anniversary as the First NFL Black Head Coach on Friday, December 3, 2021, 5:30 p.m. Fritz Pollard Alliance Foundation, a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, which proudly bears this legend's name, advocates on behalf of African Americans and other minorities for leadership positions in the NFL and other professional sports. FPAF promotes diversity and inclusion in the hiring process of executives, general managers, coaches and other leadership employment. We will honor Willie Horton, Detroit Tiger great and executive; Wallace Triplett, first Black drafted player to play for the Detroit Lions; and the Detroit Lions for their diverse hiring in their executive positions.
