SAME Denver Metro Post is gathering for Social & Charity to support Angel Tree ! SAME Denver Metro Post is supporting Pikes Peak Post and a list of ~100 children from regional military bases. Your support or donation is appreciated. WHAT IS ANGEL TREE? A Salvation Army program...' Unfortunately, many in our community are struggling and demands of everyday life keeps them from having gifts under the Christmas tree. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program has been fulfilling children’s Christmas wishes since the 1970’s. It ensures that every child can experience the Christmas magic by matching generous donors like you with children in greatest need. Nearly half of low-income Americans report that they or someone in their household has experienced some sort of income loss. We anticipate a significant increase in our Christmas support this year and Angel Tree partners are essential in ensuring we can meet the need. ' DMP will provide light food & drinks for this free member event, but any are encouraged to bring a holiday food favorite to keep the event cheap and focused on the cause. Shoppers have begun, but we welcome more volunteers, gifts, and donations to exceed our goals. Huitt-Zollars is sponsoring their corporate conference room to allow DMP Members to package and prepare gifts for Friday am delivery. We can fit up to 50 people. Thank You!
