IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR #2--Family/Community Pamper Day: Restore Ourselves to Restore our Communities & the Earth IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR -- Join us on this special day of healing and caring for ourselves and our loved ones. Families for a Future is based on the vision of community-building, service, creative action, and healing. How can we restore ourselves so that we can in turn restore our communities and the Earth? How can we nurture our love and courageous hope? There will be family & youth friendly activities including: * Yoga * Guided meditation * Breath work * Massage * Community-building * Yummy food Things you can bring:  A reusable cup- we will have water for folks to drink  Cardboard or poster board  Art making supplies- paint, markers  Old sheets & Towels for banner making Let’s build a youth-led, family centered, intergenerational movement in Los Angeles to address the water crisis and climate catastrophe. We will use various forms of cultural resistance/production & healing justice - including dance, music, meditation, visual arts, performance arts. Everything we do will have a healing, service, and action element. We hope to inspire with courageous love the creative disruption necessary to break us free of the status quo and the constant march towards complacency. COVID Safety • Participants are encouraged stay safe and comfortable, including wearing masks, social distancing, and hand washing • Please check yourself for symptoms on the morning of the event; do not come if you are experiencing any symptoms • If you have any concerns, please email beforehand and we can discuss DANCING ARMY! We sew love into the universe-LOVING KINDNESS! We recognize Love is the foundation of a healthy people and planet and the strongest force in all of existence. We are one human tribe. Spreading loving kindness around the planet is essential to preserving our humanity. When we show kindness towards others we feed both of our hearts and souls.    We sew love into the universe-PLAY! When we play we reconnect to our imagination. Play is the key to unlocking our liberation & retaining our humanity. Dancing is adult play. Dancing is how we spread our love across the planet.    We sew love into the universe- COMMUNITY! In today’s society too many of us are isolated, suffering in silence, & incapable of reaching out for support. We need to rebuild our connection to one another through establishing chosen families of love. When we are in community we thrive.   Join us in sewing love into the universe! DA is committed to these 3 principles of Loving Kindness, Play, & Community. Our goal is to reach 5 billion people across the globe in committing one act of loving kindness every day, to dance & join in community to spread love & preserve our humanity.
