Webster Lake Ice Fishing derby is having its 43st Annual Derby on February 19th and 20th. The The event is on Webster lake and held in conjunction with the Franklin Outing Club. Every Youth will also receive a free TIP UP and the first 100 Youth registered will have a free registration. Pre sold tickets will be entered for door prizes. Prizes must be claimed at the derby. Food will be sold at the base location on Griffin Beach. There will also be 50/50 tickets and additional raffles for special items. General Information All decisions of the Derby Committee will be final All tickets purchased during the Derby, MUST be made out completely at the time of the purchase within Derby Headquarter (Griffin Beach) All sales are final. NO REFUNDS will be made. At the request of the NH Fish and Game Department, Bass will not be eligible for any prizes. Littering while on any NH Lake is a violation of State Law. Please carry out everything you carry in. GRAND PRIZE The participants with the largest Trout, Perch and Pickerel over the two day event will be entered into the GRAND PRIZE drawing which is a Guaranteed $500 The largest registered tagged Trout freshly caught in Webster Lake over the two day event will be eligible for the $100 prize (prize will be split if a tie) 2022 Derby Rules Please use Caution and CHECK the ice conditions. The Veterans Memorial Recreation Area/ Franklin outing club and Webster lake Derby Committee are not liable for any injury, loss of life or property. Always be ware of thin ice at buoys' docks and outlets. All frozen bodies of water are considered potentially dangerous. Ice thickness at one location should NOT be considered indications of the ICE thickness elsewhere. All anglers must comply with the NH Fish and Game Laws. NH Laws require that any person assisting an unlicensed youth angler in any way must possess a valid NH fishing license! There is no minimum length of any fish. Fish will be placed on the board when they exceed the length of the fish currently on the board. In the case of a tie in length the fish will be weighed on a scale provided by the derby committee. The fish check in deadline is 3:30 on both days of the derby. Prizes will be awards at 4 pm on both days of the derby. Note: fish may not be checked in on Saturday for a Sunday prize with the exception of the Grand Prize entry’s or a tagged trout. You must be in line and be acknowledged by an official to be eligible each day (no exceptions) All boarded fish become the property of the Webster lake Derby Committee. All fish will be held until 3:30 each day. Anglers may request the return of these fish after that time. Fish not reclaimed by 4:00 pm each day will be given away. The Derby Committee will not be responsible for the condition the fish is returned in. Tags must be complete, attached, legible and authenticated by the Derby Committee. Any signs of tampering may result in disqualification. All participants derby accept these rules. In the interpretation of the rules and the settlement of disputes, the decisions of the Derby Committee SHALL BE FINAL and BINDING. .
