Join us for our first Fireside Evening of the season as we explore the exciting research conducted in the Norman Bird Sanctuary forests. 21+ Event Botanist and coordinator for the Rhode Island Natural History Survey, Hope Leeson will lead a guided walk throughout our forests while sharing more about the Forest Health Works Project. A study centered around the density and diversity of native plants, this project examines the impact of local deer and how they exacerbate the expansion of invasive species in the forest. Warm up after the forest exploration with warm cocktails and tea while listening to a lecture given by Hope around the fireside.
