The Christmas Bird Count is the nation's longest-running community science project, and you're invited to join Detroit Audubon. The Christmas Bird Count is the nation's longest-running community science project, and you're invited to join Detroit Audubon for a walk as part of the Rockwood Christmas Bird Count! We'll meet at Westcroft Gardens and walk through the gardens, recording all the birds we see along the way. The CBC is a day-long event, participants in this program are welcome to join the greater Rockwood Christmas Bird Count group for a chili lunch and more birding at Grosse Isle after the conclusion of the walk at 11:30 am. Note: Advance registration for this event is REQUIRED!   Our mission is to foster appreciation and conservation of birds and the environment we share.Our mission pillars are: Education, Research, and Action.
