Press release from the JAX Chamber: November 22, 2021 Please note: Families served through our partner agencies this year have been notified about this distribution. To ensure we have enough food, we ask media to avoid pre-promotion of the distribution, and not to release details until Friday, November 19. This alert is for coverage consideration only.   Feeding Northeast Florida will host its second annual Harvest Helpings initiative, in partnership with the Winn-Dixie Gives Foundation, at Lonnie Miller Park in Duval County. This event will serve families in need this holiday season with a Thanksgiving meal with seasonal sides and fresh produce in time for Thanksgiving.   This event at Lonnie Miller Park is the culmination of Feeding Northeast Florida's Harvest Helpings holiday food distribution. The program began November 15th and included distributions in each of the eight counties served by the food bank. Harvest Helpings is expected to serve 2,500 families across the food bank's service area.  WHO:Susan King, CEO Feeding Northeast Florida Zach Wesson, Winn-Dixie District Manager WHEN:Saturday, November 20 at 10 a.m. Media are encouraged to arrive at 9:45 a.m. and are welcome to stay until noon for additional questions, photos or B-roll.   WHERE:           Lonnie Miller Park 7689 Price Ln  Jacksonville, FL 32209   Free parking will be available on site.
