HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A car hit and killed a woman walking on State Road-574 early Sunday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said. The Miami car drove eastbound on State Road-574 near U.S. Highway 301 at about 1:49 a.m. The 52-year-old South Daytona woman then walked in front of the vehicle and the car smashed into her, investigators said. Medical officials pronounced her dead at a local hospital. *FHP does not release the names of victim's because of Marsy's Law.
