Description
Please reply if you can provide a team to complete repairs to a residential foundation. A structural engineer report calls for the following work:
• Repair cracks in foundation (about 6-10). These have been previously repaired 30 years ago with epoxy injection but have since become weakened. Most cracks are accessible in a full height basement. One is in 3’ high crawl space and will require some removal of dirt to access the base of the crack.
• Remove efflorescence throughout perimeter of crawl space: steel brush, muriatic acid and epoxy paint.
• Remove current crawl space moisture tarps. Place new rubber mats in areas for access to furnace, plumbing, and other utilities.
• Seal full-height basement concrete slab cracks. Seal horizontal cracks plus joints where slab meets foundation walls.
• Paint selected interior foundation walls and slab floors. Final step is to paint for finished use of full-height basement.
• Fee will be time and materials. Owner will provide materials unless otherwise requested. Structural engineer will be available for advice during the job.
• Since most work will be indoor or under the main living area, all workers must be fully COVID vaccinated and wearing masks while indoors.
• Home is in North Berkeley next to AC Transit bus stop.
