MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police are investigating a pedestrian versus car incident that interrupted a protest Saturday night on Main Street. The protest was organized by Black Lives Matter 860. A video posted by the group shows cars coasting through the protest with pedestrians partially blocking the road. The protest was staged at about 5 p.m. on Main Street just south of the Center Street intersection, police said. It was connected to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict. "We're considering this an active investigation and we will release more information when it becomes appropriate," a Manchester police spokesman said. BLM 860 officials, in a social media post, said organizers were able to provide a license plate number to Manchester police because one of the victims was holding a "camcorder." Here is the post:
